Our 2023 plan to expand the Major catalog to include music by artists in addition to Majorettes is well underway and continues this month with “La Pampara”, a deep and bass-heavy track by Colombian artist ELO (a moniker of the DJ known as Leeon). ELO first appeared on Major Records in 2022 delivering an anthemic remix of “The Waves” by Majorettes. This versatile and excellent producer hails from Bogotá and is known worldwide for his sensual and often darker explorations of dance music. The title track “La Pampara” includes a cheeky vocal that plays against a wobbling acid underbelly. The track has made the rounds in the last couple of months as a demo on far-reaching dance floors before landing at Major Records to our delight.

On the remix, Mystic Bill takes the “La Pampara” beach party into an acidy moon-rise. Bill is one of our all time favorites of the American underground; his unique sound, developed in Chicago and pumped through Miami, is familiar and beloved to any true house-head. We are so happy to welcome him to the Major Records family.
