We're back for Bandcamp Friday with a HOT new EP from Cromby! With previous releases on Feel My Bicep, Craigie Knowes, Phantasy Sound, Rekids, Unknown To The Unknown, and his own Potency imprint, this Irish DJ/Producer has certainly made his mark on dance music. Alongside countless clubs and festival gigs, he is a regular at Panorama Bar with multiple closings under his belt. On this exciting Floating EP, he brings his high-energy sound full of infectious grooves and hypnotic hooks to the Major Records catalogue.

We took these tracks on tour all summer long. “Freaky Fantasy” brings everyone on a freak-tastic carnival ride every time we play it. The shimmering chords, warming vocals, and syncopated bass lines melt together, creating an eerie and erotic atmosphere.“Floating” welcomes you in with polyrhythmic acid, layers of bubbling percussion, and goodness; it’s hard not to feel levitated. “Make You Sweat” deviously brings the energy to peak neck snaps and hair flips, all while maintaining a cool percussive atmosphere. These tracks have been standouts in sets for all four of us, lighting up dance floors from Block 9 to Smart Bar, STUDIO and Panorama Bar.

I read in an interview that the album was composed to provoke a sense of joy, and I feel that. It's startling how "fun" it feels; I think there's some magic in the arrangement and mixing, that elevates the sound design and melodies to great heights..
